If fly-in sport fishing is your game, you will not be disappointed with your Lake Athabasca Lodge adventure. Whether you fish for Large Lake Trout, Large Northern Pike, Wonderfull Walleye or Large Grayling, the Bite is Always ON!!  The water rarely warms up at surface level over 60 degrees Fahrenheit, making fish always active and always hungry! The weather on our Island is usually in the mid 70's during summer days with No Bugs!

The unspoiled beauty of Lake Athabasca is a gem to be discovered. It is the fourth largest lake in Canada and the eighteenth largest in the world. Located on the Alberta-Saskatchewan border just south of Canada's Northwest Territories, this premier fishing lake is a natural boundary between the Canadian Shield and North America's largest area of active sand dunes. While enjoying your stay at Lake Athabasca Lodge, explore the sand dunes, take a nature tour of the lake or visit the area's old gold mines and other historic sites. Lake Athabasca provides something for everyone.
